About our Training

ABA Skills Development Program Overview

Our organizational training programs are delivered using the Behavioral Skills Training (BST) method, a proven approach that ensures participant engagement throughout the entire program. This method effectively results in both a strong knowledge base and the practical ability to apply what is learned. Throughout the program, essential ABA concepts are taught and rehearsed, equipping your staff to implement ABA techniques both ethically and consistently upon completion. The curriculum covers evidence-based practices that address all levels of care, including antecedent interventions, consequence strategies, skill acquisition methods, and behavior reduction techniques.

Training Structure and Schedule

The ABA Skills Development Program consists of 20 hours of intensive instruction and hands-on practice, delivered over five consecutive days. This format is designed to thoroughly prepare staff by immersing them in both the foundational and applied aspects of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). From Days 1 through 4, participants engage in a comprehensive learning process that includes instruction, modeling, rehearsal, and feedback. Role-play exercises are incorporated, allowing participants to practice with one another as well as with the trainers. Skills are rehearsed until each individual demonstrates accurate and consistent implementation. On Day 5, staff members are encouraged to bring their own children or other family members to the session. This provides an opportunity to practice pairing and natural environment teaching methods in a supportive and interactive setting. The final day is designed to be both engaging and enjoyable, giving participants the chance to apply their newly acquired skills in real-world scenarios.

What is Behavioral Skills Training (BST)?

BST is a proven training method that has been validated through extensive application and positive outcomes across various professional settings.

4 Key Factors of BST and how we apply them:

  1. Instruction: Clear explanation of the skill (and the science behind it).

  2. Modeling: The skill is modeled through video or by our instructors.

  3. Rehearsal: Students practice the skills with each other and with the trainers.

  4. Feedback: Feedback is provided immediately. If correction is needed, we rehearse again.
